What Is a Baby Dedication?
Baby dedication is not baptism. Instead, it is a public declaration by parents that they desire to raise their child according to biblical principles and teach them about God’s love throughout their lives.
During the dedication service, parents commit to:
- Raising their child in a loving, Christ-centered environment
- Teaching biblical values and principles
- Praying regularly for their child
- Encouraging their child to develop a personal relationship with Jesus
- Being active participants in the church community
The church family also commits to supporting, encouraging, and praying for the family as their child grows.
